Hello! My name is Deanna, I am Half Chinese, Half English, born and raised in the Uk. I speak English, Cantonese and basic Mandarin. I offer English, Singing and Piano Classes at my centre in Wan Chai.

I am an accomplished pianist, having played for 16 years and have been teaching piano since the age of 17. I teach all students aged 4 years old above, mainly focusing on teaching ABRSM grades or students looking to learn for self-enjoyment. My bachelor degree is in Vocals and I have been teaching singing since 2022. I have also previously competed in the TVB stars academy singing competitions in Hong Kong and done various performances around Hong Kong.

Alongside music, I offer English lessons to both adults and children aged 2.5+. I have previously taught in schools in Hangzhou and Hong Kong as well as leaning center's in Hong Kong. Teaching phonics, Cambridge, speaking, grammar, English interview, writing etc.

For English lessons, group class can be offered to young students age 2.5-4 years old. Focusing on learning through play, using role play and various English learning activities, we may also touch upon single sound phonics. Whereas, for private 1-1 classes, lessons are catered to each individual students level, creating a personalised lesson to fulfill student’s requirements. Material will either be provided for the lessons or I shall suggest which book is suitable for the lessons.

For Piano lessons, my method focuses on helping my beginner students to build a good foundation before moving on to learning ABRSM grades or by providing guidance to my more advantaged students to polish up their skills and progress further onto learning their dream song or passing ABRSM grade exams.

For Vocal lessons, I use a systemic method to teach students how to sing without strain and use their voice the correct way without tension. Specifically working on Breathing, Chest Voice, Head Voice, Mixed Voice, Transition and Range.

Overall, my aim is to provide guidance to each of my students so that they may achieve their personal full potential. I am a patient, fun-loving and motivating teacher that firmly believes each student should always enjoy our lessons, learn at their own pace and get the most out of our lessons together.

For Vocal and Piano students, there is also a bi-annual recital that students can join. This gives them an opportunity to perform in front of parents and showcase their skills.
