Hello, my name is Rachel, and I am deeply passionate about education and language teaching. With seventeen years of experience teaching ESL learners English at a Hong Kong EMI secondary school, I have guided numerous students in developing their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. My teaching approach emphasises critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication, which I believe are crucial for academic success and personal growth.

One of my core strengths is my professional communication skills, with native fluency in both English and Chinese. This bilingual proficiency has been instrumental in bridging communication gaps and fostering an inclusive learning environment. Additionally, I integrate technology into my teaching to make learning more engaging and accessible.

My academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Translation (Chinese/English) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Post-graduate Diploma in Education from The University of Hong Kong. I am currently pursuing a Diploma in Early Childhood Education in Toronto, further expanding my expertise. I am also certified in English Language Teaching to Young Learners by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations and have achieved high scores in both the IELTS and CELPIP exams, highlighting my proficiency in English.
