Highly accomplished English and Drama tutor intent upon making this fun!

So many Hong Kong kids experience tremendous anxiety and stress around school. It's important to me to tutor Hong Kong kids so that I can help nurture their critical thinking and reassure them that their tastes and passions matter – that is, to foster their autonomy and joy.

My professional accomplishments include:

—More than 20 years of teaching children English and Drama in New York and Hong Kong

—Preparing Hong Kong kids for school interviews. After working together, one local child was recently admitted to the famous Westminster School in London

—Interviewing and evaluating applicants for university admission

—Winning the Best Screenplay Award from the Hong Kong Film Critics Society in 2021

—Providing acting training to 林諾 Sahal Zaman, named Best New Performer at the Hong Kong Film Awards in 2023

Scholastic accomplishment include:

—Studying graduate-level developmental (child) psychology and conducting research into the development of empathy in children while assistant teaching at a laboratory school

—Being named a National Merit Scholar, meaning I tested in the top 1% of university-bound students in the USA and was awarded a merit scholarship

—Receiving the Gaylord Donnelley Family Scholarship for top university-level academic achievement
