Candidate for Master of Arts in Modern History and Theology at the University of St Andrews.

I am a third-year undergraduate studying Modern History and Theology at the University of St Andrews in the United Kingdom and would be highly keen to tutor high school students in English, History, Theology, Classical Greek, or any other closely related subject.

At school, I was awarded 8 A* and As at GCSE (including best in the cohort for First Language English), and 43/45 for the IB programme with a high 7 for HL English Language and Literature. I am therefore familiar with the syllabi of these exam boards and am well-placed to guide exam skills and techniques. I have maintained first-class marks throughout my time at University, and prepare for and teach an informal weekly Cantonese class for beginners.

My main academic interests include the history of the British colonial state in Hong Kong and South Africa, and the history of the Church in non-biblical worlds, giving me a broad range of knowledge across the Humanities. I also have a passion for learning languages: I speak fluent German, Dutch, Afrikaans, and Spanish in addition to speaking English, Mandarin, and Cantonese on a native level, while also possessing an extensive knowledge of written Latin and Classical Greek.

Lessons are conducted in English.
