UK Boarding School Graduate | 5 Predicted A*s (incl. English Lang & Lit) | 11 Grade 9s at GCSE | 50/50 NEA | English & Maths Tutor in Kowloon

I'm a UK Boarding School student with 11 Grade 9s at GCSE (including a 9 for both English Language and Literature) and am also predicted 5 A*s at A-Level, again including English Language and Literature. I scored 131/150 in GCSE English Language and achieved 50/50 for my A-Level NEA coursework. I also achieved 94% in GCSE Further Maths and am predicted A* in both A-Level Maths and Further Maths, so I'm equally comfortable tutoring Maths alongside English.

I have hands-on experience doing vocational and volunteering work in Cambodia, where I have taught children in service centres English and Mathematics for over 5 years. This has taught me to adapt expectations, simplify concepts, and make challenging phonetic and linguistic concepts easily accessible.

I specialise in GCSE English Language and Literature, and having just completed my A-Levels in June, I have up-to-date knowledge of the current syllabi, mark schemes, and examiner expectations for the curriculum.

My teaching methodology is systematic. I believe that excelling at an exam comes from having an exhaustive understanding of the specification as a whole, built through working through past papers and analysing all the possible questions that could come up. I adapt to each student's level and keep sessions practical but exam-focused.
