Experienced Expert Math Tutor in Hong Kong, specializing in IB, IGCSE, AP & A-levels programs.

I have been teaching in Hong Kong for the past 11 years. Many of my former students have achieved excellent results on their IGCSEs (including multiple A*s), as well as in their IB and AP finals. Several have gone on to attend prestigious universities, such as the University of Michigan (USA) and the University of Edinburgh (UK). Most importantly to me, many of my students have gone from disliking math to loving it, with math becoming their favorite subject. I am passionate about what I teach, and I hope to share that enthusiasm with my students!

I am originally from Canada and attended the University of Alberta. During my time in Hong Kong, I have taught a variety of subjects and grade levels. I currently live in Tai Po, but I am willing to travel for lessons or conduct them online.

I think it's very important that students enjoy what they are learning and realize its application in real life. So, I try to consistently bring in real-world examples to illustrate the value of what they are learning. I also feel that many students who are struggling with a topic can learn to love it if they understand the underlying 'missing pieces' that are causing them to feel frustrated. I believe that any homework they have should serve a purpose and strengthen their skills and confidence
