Engaging English Lessons with a Bilingual Native Speaker

As a native speaker of English, born in the US, raised in Hong Kong, I spent most of my adult life in California. My academic background is in Comparative Literature (English and Japanese), B.A. with honors from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I have staged two plays, published three books of poetry and worked for sixteen years as a software engineer for US companies. I have passed US brokerage exams for General Securities (Series 7) and Commodities (Series 3).

As a mother of two children admitted to top universities, including a prestigious liberal arts college and an Ivy League institution, I am experienced in working with kids and keeping them engaged. If you're interested in having the nuances of English explained in Cantonese, I can do so as a fully bilingual native speaker of both languages. Above all, I love the English language and would like to take you and/or your children on fulfilling journeys of learning and exploration.
