Passionate English teacher with 22 years’ experience, 18 of which were in lead roles at local and international schools.

I am a registered teacher with EDB and SCRC- approved, with an MA in Childhood Studies and Education and a PGCE from Leeds Beckett University in the UK.
My aim is to prepare children, ages 3 -16, to soar with confidence and discover their full potential.

I teach a range of classes, including phonics, reading comprehension, creative writing, grammar, interview preparation and assessment preparation for local and international schools, including UK 7+ and 11+ examinations. I have a proven track record of preparing students for 7+ and 11+ exams.
I develop and implement creative, constructive lesson plans aligned with the EYFS and the British National Curriculum, delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons.
I also prepare students for their Cambridge English exams, including Pre A1 Starters, Movers, Flyers, A2 Key for Schools, and B1 Preliminary for Schools.

I maintain open communication with parents, sharing ongoing observations, providing regular reports on their child's progress, and offering recommendations as needed. Together with the student, I explore options, develop strategies, and build self-awareness to overcome academic barriers, fostering confidence and independence.

I have tutored children from local schools, including Braemar Hill Nursery, Sheng Kung Hui, St. Catherine's, CCKG, St. Paul's Co-Ed, Diocesan Boys' School, DGS, St. Stephen's, Maryknoll, and Raimondi College. I have also tutored students from international schools such as Singapore International School, GSIS, HKIS, Harrow, Kellett, Shrewsbury International School, ESF (Bradbury - Lower Primary), KCPS, ISF, ICS, VSA, and YCIS.

Location:
In person (preferably on Hong Kong Island), either at my home in Happy Valley or via Zoom.
