Experienced NET for Kindergarten and Primary Students

Hi,
I sincerely believe that I am ideally suited to the role of English Language Tutor, as my standard of English is very high.

I have six years of professional experience as a Native English Teacher. I have a Joint B.A. Honours Degree in German and Italian from the UK's University of Manchester. I have a 100-hour TEFL/TESOL Certificate and the 40-hour English Grammar Certificate issued by Bridge Education Group. I am also a Certified Digital Marketing Professional.

Over the past 28 years of working in Hong Kong, as a permanent resident, I have gained a varied skillset, while developing my all-round English language capabilities.

I started my professional career, working in English News Broadcasting for television and radio as a Sub-Editor and English News Presenter. When I had children, I started working from home, Sub-editing trade publications.

I have also created Marketing content for a wide range of corporate clients as the Content Director of a digital marketing consultancy. As a Journalist, my articles have been published in the South China Post, in magazines, on company websites, and in trade and industry publications.

I believe that I have attained a high level in English language teaching proficiency, after having taught phonics, reading, (creative) writing, grammar, listening and speaking skills to hundreds of kindergarten and primary school students at numerous well-known English language learning centres across Hong Kong.

My abilities as an English language teacher have been demonstrated by the high, or outstanding, results my students have attained in the Cambridge English and Trinity GESE examinations, as well as in their primary school exams. Both my students and their parents have responded warmly and enthusiastically to my English lessons, and they welcome my kind and careful nurturing, and guidance.

I strive to make my lessons as enjoyable and engaging as possible by teaching English through the four foundational pillars: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. I supplement and enhance learning materials with digital and interactive resources available online.

Having witnessed first-hand the effectiveness of using resources from publishers such as Cambridge, Oxford, and Trinity University Press, as well as Compass Publishing and Express Publishing, I draw on the rich and varied content of these textbooks to deliver high-quality, tailor-made lessons that meet each student’s individual learning needs and preferences.

I am committed to providing excellent English lessons that uphold the highest standards by creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment—one that not only helps students excel academically but also fosters a genuine love for learning.
