Hi! I'm Natalie and I've been teaching since 2014. I am a Canada, UK, and HK-certified teacher. I've taught students aged 3 to 18. I specialise in teaching English, particularly phonics and literacy. My rates start from $400/hour for 1-to-1 sessions.

I've helped hundreds of students learn to read. It really warms my heart to see their progress! Most recently, I was Native English Class Teacher at a prestigious bilingual kindergarten in Hong Kong. I've also had four years of experience prepping students in Singapore for the Primary School Leaving Examination, where they are tested on the core areas of English - reading, writing, speaking and listening. This included teaching reading comprehension, situational writing, creative compositions, grammar, vocabulary and figurative language, to name a few.

In South Korea, I was a Native English Teacher for 2 years at a high school. I created and delivered engaging lessons about Western culture and fostered a classroom environment that encouraged students to speak in English and ask lots of questions. I was also in charge of the Debate Club, English Camps in Summer and Winter and annual Pop Song Festival.

I was born in Hong Kong and moved to Canada when I was 7. After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce, I decided to pursue a Bachelor of Education and received my teacher certification in 2014. I also have a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL Certificate. I have been described as kind, patient, creative and organised. I love getting to know my students and form genuine bonds with them and their parents/guardians so that everyone is on the same page about their progress, strengths and weaknesses in order for them to succeed.
