An IB PYP, CAMBRIDGE TRAINED EDUCATOR WITH A PGDE FROM HKIED

My name is Mona and I have worked in the capacity of an IB PYP Early years/ Assistant PYP Coordinator. I hold a postgraduate degree in Education from Education university of Hong Kong. I am a Hong Kong permanent resident and I have 10 years+ teaching plus administrative experience in the same city.

I have worked with Sun Island English Kindergarten, Western Pacific Kindergarten, Delia English Primary school and Kindergarten, and Good Time International Playschool in Hong Kong. Previously, I have worked as an IB PYP Homeroom for PYP for Learning Alliance International an IB world school, and as an Early years' coordinator/ Assistant PYP Coordinator in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania for Aga Khan Academy from August 2021 to June 2022. I have also worked with Lahore grammar school international, LGSi, another world IB school for four years in the PYP setting (2017-2021). Additionally, I am a Registered Teacher from EDB as well.

I facilitate students through student centred, inquiry-based learning and continuously generate inquiries. In free inquiry, I apply key concepts to every subject and students create the LOI's as what they wish to learn. For subject focused learning, we learn through comprehensive study and use various text books as a resource. Multiple resources help us to figure out the correct methodology and application.
